Carol Hayes, Master Designer and Owner, says having her own hair salon and
spa was a life long dream. "As a child, I would cut and style people's hair, polish
their nails, and do their makeup. I was always curious about curling, styling, braiding. I
used to do my mother's hair, my sisters' and anybody who'd let me! I even took pictures of
my work." She was 10 years old at the time!
She has raised two sons and two daughters in Massachusetts, and began working when they
reached school age. Three years ago, Carol and her husband Jack, who had retired from the
state police of Massachusetts, came to Augusta to visit a cousin. "We weren't
thinking of moving," she recalls, "but we loved it here. It's so pretty, people
are so nice, the weather is beautiful. I could see the need in this area for a day spa.
There was a burning urge in me that said 'You can do it.' I knew just what I wanted."
During time off, Carol and Jack enjoy visiting their children and grandchild, and having
them come to Augusta as well.
Carol stays on the cutting edge of new colors, styles, products, techniques and trends.
Her spa can give anyone, male or female, "a day of head to toe relaxation: massage,
facial, homemade lunches, manicure, pedicure, hair, makeup- everything to make you feel
important and special. It's the ultimate in pampering. I thrive on making people feel good
about themselves, lifting their self-esteem, getting them motivated, making them feel
beautiful not just on the outside, but through their inner self as well."
